Jeffery Pub

For more than 70 years, Jeffery Pub has been creating a safe space for the black & brown LGBTQ+ community of Chicago. In the 1960s this haven filled a much-needed cultural void, particularly for the south side of the city. Now after all that time, it still remains a historic beacon for all the queer kiddos looking to make friends & have a blast!

With nightly dancing, delicious drinks & welcoming staff, you will feel instantly safe & free to be yourself within these walls. Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior; inside you will find a stage waiting for you to share your go-to karaoke song and a dance floor impatient for you to dance a jig. The bartenders are known for their kindness and fondness for making strong & tasty beverages.
